Chicken Brand Adjustable??

Salam all,

Back in August I had a dream, a dream of having a very nice and beautiful adjustable suspension system that have the option of Hi-Lo Soft Hard. With this miracle device I can take those wretched and twisted corner with only 1 hand while the other tied behind my back, and still having a comfort of merc or bmw like car. Wow is this possible? Nope, it all just a dream....

After woke up from the day dreaming and I started to seek for my desired adjustable, Tein, D2, Zero One, GAB, Improve??? All are in the list... Asked a few friends, visit a few shops then I decided to opt for Hi-Lo Improve as it got quite good review from several person... I am not changing this just because of the beautiful dream I had but my rear left absorber is making sound louder and louder every month, so something back there needs to be change.

Then the tragic thing happens, ZzZzzZ... sob sob... so the money had to go to repairing the car, fix this and that bla bla... sob sob... after all repairs had been done, I left with only ..... so how? what now? change or not? been thinking for quite some times. Because of the sound really annoys me, so I decided to change the suspension, hoping the sound would go away...

So now what the adjustable to choose, after researching a few cheap abs, I think a taiwan made D2 or DII to be more accurate is sufficient, its a Hi-Lo with bodyshift, the price is around RM1100 or so if I'm not mistaken, cause bought a few stuff with shop. It is similar to the first picture above. Picture taken from Mudah.my and the seller is EA Autoworks.

So after bought it the next day I went to a tyre shop near my house and asked them to install it, check or source out the clonk-clonk sound from the left abs. After everything finished they said no more sound, pay them RM200 for the install, alignment, camber adjust and 2 front camber nut.... zzzz expensive from my point of view but as long as all problem solved its fine i guess....

Got into the car, drove with it for a while, everything seems fine. The next day on my way to work, go through a few bumps and hole, "What the heck!!!", the clonk2x sound is still there, and guess what the sound had transfer from left abs to the right. Now my right ear has to withstand the clonk-clonk sound. Thats not all, the rate of the spring is a very3x stiff and the alignment tend to go to the left.... Oh noooo did I make a mistake? So a few days after that I went there and corrected my alignment.

After giving a hard thought, maybe the upper mount bushes that may cause the irritating sound. I went to a part shop in the weekend and asked them those bushes, cost me RM15 for these rubber thingy. Go back to the same tyre shop and change the bushes and adjust the spring rates. Another RM25 gone out my pocket, test the car after done, the spring is noticeably softer, and the sound?? It has been reduce, ok lah not annoy that much, nevertheless it is still there.

Will update later if got any improvements...

Salam all...
